New Delhi [India]: Dry, itchy and flaky skin is a big concern when it is cold outside, specially for people with dry skin.
The cold, dry air sucks the moisture out of the skin, making it appear less healthy and less radiant.
Along with the weather, nutritional deficiencies, aging and genetic predisposition are some other factors that cause dry skin problems and while expensive moisturisers and skin care masks sometimes do the trick, they are not effective long term solutions to deal with tight and dry skin.
Dr. Megha Shah, Owner and Medical Director of Beauty & Curves Venus Treatment Clinic, sheds light on the dry skin condition and how to treat it, “Dry skin is a very common skin condition during winter season because cold winter air means low humidity, both outdoors and indoors, and the water content of the epidermis (the outermost layer of skin) tends to reflect the level of humidity around it. Dry skin occurs when the skin does not retain sufficient moisture which results in scaly or itchy skin.”
“At Beauty & Curves, we are successfully treating a lot of patients for dry skin with Venus Viva dry skin rejuvenation treatments. The treatments are quick, safe and a lot more effective than tropical remedies,” Shah added. (ANI)
