Hyderabad, January 07: A Bangladeshi national was arrested in Humayunagar on Saturday on the charge of illegally staying in India with the help of fake documents.
Commissioner’s Taskforce (South Zone) nabbed Zahidul Islam, a native of Chittagong, Bangladesh, who had changed his name to Syed Abu Nasir, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, S Chaturvedi.
Zahidul came to Kolkata in 2004 on a visit visa and later proceeded to Uttar Pradesh and tried to get admission into a Madarasa. But he failed, and went to Mumbai.
On expiry of the visa, Zahidul allegedly burnt his Bangladesh passport and changed his name. After some time he landed in Hyderabad and got job in Rajendra Nagar and also obtained an Indian passport, PAN card, voter’s ID card, driving license and other documents. Nazir, an RTA agent who helped him get the fake driving license, too has been apprehended.
