Bangladesh wins toss, sends Pakistan in to bat

Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and sent Pakistan in to bat first in the final of the 11th Asia Cup on Thursday.

Bangladesh is playing in the final of the continental limited-overs championship for the first time, and is hosting the match at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Pakistan has won the title once.

Both World Cup finalists champion India and runnerup Sri Lanka were eliminated in the round-robin stage of the Asia Cup after losses to Bangladesh.

Pakistan made one change from its previous game against India by including Sarfraz Ahmed in place of Wahab Riaz.

Bangladesh retained the same team that beat Sri Lanka to reach the final.
