Bangladesh thump Pakistan to set up Asia Cup final against India

Mirpur: Bangladesh registered a five-wicket win over Pakistan in a thrilling Asia Cup match to set up the summit clash against India in the Asia Cup here at Shere Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.

Opener Soumya Sarkar top scored with 48 as the hosts chased down the target of 130 with five balls to spare.

Although Pakistan tried to stage a comeback with two back-to-back wickets, Mahmudullah (22 not out) remained calm to steer home to sensational victory.

Fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers by claiming three wickets.

The summit clash between India and Bangladesh will be played on Sunday.
