Bangladesh SC to hear petition challenging Khalida Zia’s bail

Dhaka: The Supreme Court will hear the leave-to-appeal petitions filed by the government challenging Bangladesh Nationalist Party Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s bail.

As reported by the Daily Star, the two petitions have been included in cause-list of the Appellate Division of the Court.

The apex court has sought cancellation of the High Court orders after incidents of killing and vandalism took place at the instruction and instigation of Khaleda, said Attorney General Mahbubey Alam.

On May 28, the High Court granted bail for six months to Khaleda in two cases. (ANI)
