NEW DELHI: Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim led to a record T20I win against Sri Lanka in the third T20I of the Nidahas Trophy at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.
The right-hander’s audacious 35-ball 72 not only saw Bangladesh overwhelm the hosts’ mammoth target but also rewrote record books.
And picking up the winning run, the overjoyed captain broke into a celebratory dance better known as ‘Naagin Dance.’
“To be honest, from the beginning we thought we could win. Tamim and Liton gave us a good start. Then Mushy was outstanding,” Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah said after the win.
“It was amazing to see and good inspiration for us.”
The 30-year-old cricketer’s victory celebration delighted the fans.
