Bangladesh: Killers of Italian national identified

Dhaka, Oct. 18 : The Dhaka police on Sunday claimed to have identified the conspirators behind the killing of the Italian national Cesare Tavella who was murdered here.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia stated that the police are now collecting evidences against them.

According to the Daily Star, the police have identified three persons with suspected links to the killing. Two of them are said to be Bangladesh National Party activists.

Cesare Tavella, a project manager of the Netherlands-based NGO ICCO Cooperation Bangladesh, was shot dead on September 28, by three unidentified criminals in the diplomatic area in Dhaka.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) had later claimed responsibility for the attack.

However, Mia has again denied any militant link to the murder. (ANI)
