Dhaka: As many as 10 people were killed in a recent landslide triggered by torrential rains in south-east Bangladesh while many were left injured.
The rains swept away the houses in Bangladesh’s Rangamati district.
Earlier, last year the landslides in the region killed nearly 100 people.
According to the officials, the Torrential rains triggered the landslides in Rangamati’s Naniarchar area today.
A bdnews report said of 10 deceased people, 4 belonged to the same family from Dharmacharan Karbari neighbourhood.
“We could not reach the affected areas as the road became very bad due to landslides. So, it will take some time to get exact information about the number of deaths or missing,” officials said.
