Bangladesh: 10 killed in a road accident

At least ten people were killed and five others injured when a bus collided with a small van in Bangladesh’s northwestern Rajshahi district on Saturday, officials said.

“All of the dead were travelling in the Leguna ( a locally improvised passenger carrying engine-run van)… Three of them died instantly and others succumbed to their wounds on way to or at hospitals,” a police officer told PTI over phone.

He said the Leguna was being driven by a 16-year-old conductor of the vehicle, when it’s right front wheel punctured and that apparently led to its head-on collision with the bus.
