As several parts of the City and HAL Airport received trace rainfall, the Kempegowda International Airport received nil rainfall.
A tree was uprooted in 1st Block, RT Nagar, which was cleared in the evening by BBMP. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officials have forecast moderate rainfall for the next two days.
The director of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Bangalore, B Puttanna, speaking to a news paper said, “For the next few days, the maximum and minimum temperature would be around 31 and 21 degrees celsius, respectively. The normal amount of rainfall for June is 87 mm rain and the City has already received 115.9 mm as the first week witnessed heavy showers.”
He added that moderate to heavy rain would occur at a few places in coastal Karnataka and light to moderate rain is predictable to occur at few places of north interior Karnataka and south interior Karnataka from June 16 to June 18.
