Hyderabad: Telugu Actor and film producer Bandla Ganesh, who recently joined the Congress in the hope of getting an MLA ticket, received rude shock as he was not given ticket by the party high command though it announced 94 candidates in four phases. Bandla Ganesh vainly tried hard to secure a ticket either from Rajendra Nagar or Jubilee Hills constituency.
It may be mentioned here that after joining the Congress party Bandla Ganesh has been making pungent remarks against the TRS government. In a TV channel, he took oath as an MLA imitating ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’ dialogue that went viral on social media. Earlier, Ganesh was an ardent supporter of Pawan Kalyan, but joined the Congress hoping that he would get a ticket to contest in the December 7 elections and attracted attention.
He had also predicated that the Congress would emerge victorious and form the government in the State. In several TV channels, Bandla Ganesh proclaimed that he would be contesting from Rajendranagar Assembly constituency. Meanwhile, political activists felt that he missed the bus due to his over action and hangama.
To his misfortune, the seat went to the TTDP as part of seat-sharing among the Mahakootami constituents and the seat was given to Ganesh Gupta of the TTDP.
Meanwhile, as part of pacifying the demoralized actor-producer, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy today appointed Bandla Ganesh as an official spokesperson of the party.
