A bandh is being observed in Medak district in protest against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s remarks on Bayyaram mines.
TRS leader T Harish Rao and others were taken into custody for holding up traffic here. They have stopped buses and raised slogans against the Government.
The bandh call was given by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao for the remarks of the Chief Minister on the Bayyaram ore.
Elsewhere, two buses were damaged by in the rasta roko by TRS cadre. Buses were off the streets in Medak, Siddipet, Gajwel and Narayankhed as bus depots were picketed by the TRS cadre.
Former MLA Padma Devender Reddy was held at Medak. There were arrests at Zaheerabad bus depot as well. (INN)
