Banda sizzles at 44.8 degree Celsius as heat wave continues in UP

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh continued to reel under heat wave conditions with Banda scorching at 44.8 degrees Celsius.

According to the MeT office, weather was dry across the state and day temperatures changed slightly in various divisions.

The temperature were a lot above normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Lucknow, Bareilly divisions, above normal in Allahabad, Moradabad and Agra divisions and normal in the remaining divisions of the state, the MeT office said.

Banda recorded the highest maximum at 44.8 degrees Celsius.

The MeT Department has forecast hot conditions at isolated places across the state for tomorrow.
