Chief Electoral officer Mr. Bhanwarlal wished the Govt. to keep in abeyance the transfers of Govt. officials till 15th June. This step has been taken keeping in view the by elections in 12 districts of A.P. which are scheduled to be held on 12th June.
He was talking to newsmen who met him in his chamber yesterday. He informed the newsmen that Govt. had sought permission for transferring Govt. officials. He said that on the complaint that vote was sought on religious basis during the election speech of Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy in Tirupati, a report has been sought from the collector Chittoor in this regard. The CD and the complaint have bee forwarded to Central Election Commission. He said that Election Commission won’t tolerate if vote is sought on religious basis. He also informed that so far Rs. 17 crore have been seized and 1.23 lakh liters of liquour of has also been confiscated.
