Maharashtra, May 12: Yoga guru-turned politician Baba Ramdev reiterated his demand to ban high denomination currencies to curb corruption in the country.
“Government should ban the currency notes of Rs 1,000 and 500 denominations to curb corruption which has spread all over the country,” Baba Ramdev, who was here on a three-day yoga programme told reporters.
Replying to a query he said, “If the ban is imposed the wealth accumulated by the corrupt people will come out in the market.”
