With a view of maintain public order, peace and tranquility in the Cyberabad Metropolitan areas, Cyberabad police commissioner C V Anand issued orders prohibiting holding of any kind of public meetings and processions within the Cyberabad Metropolitan area without obtaining prior permission of Zonal Deputy Commissioners of Police, Law & Order concerned or Commissioner of Police Cyberabad.
He also prohibited carrying of arms like swords, spears, knives, sticks with or without flags, bludgeons, guns, explosives and other offensive weapons and gathering of persons on the public roads or public places disturbing peace and order or causing inconvenience, annoyance or danger to public. He also prohibited collection and carrying of stones or other means of casting missiles, music singing, speeches or broadcasting through loud speakers and DJS, use of mikes/public address system, use of horn through vehicles by any organization, members of public and so on.
The Cyberabad PC informed the public that any person violating the ban order shall be liable for prosecution under relevant acts. However, police and Military personnel on duty, Home Guards, bonafide funeral processions are exempted from the ban order
The prohibitory order will remain in force from 1800 hrs of May 7 to 1800 hrs of May 17. (NSS)
