Hyderabad: With a view to maintain public order and peace in the area around Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Secretariats under Saifabad Police limits, City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy, IPS, has prohibited public meetings, assembly of five or more persons; carrying fire arms, banners, placards, lathis, spears, swords, sticks, brickbats, shouting of slogans; making of speeches, processions, demonstrations, picketing or dharnas within the area without written permission.
The ban order will be in force for two months i.e. November 18 with effect from 0600 hours on September 19. Those who violate the order will be liable for punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and as per the provisions of Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli, he added. (NSS)
