With a view to maintain public order, peace and tranquility in the area around Secretariat under the limits of Saifabad Police Station, together with the offices located within the premises including the gates leading to the offices and also areas falling up to a distance of 500 metre from Secretariat building perimeter, City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma prohibited holding of any public meeting, assembly of five or more persons; carrying fire arms, banners, placards, lathis, spears, swords, sticks, brickbats; shouting of slogans; making of speeches; processions and demonstration; and picketing or dharnas within the area without a written permission. The order will be in force from 6 am on March 19 for two months i.e., up to 6 am on May 18 (both days inclusive) unless withdrawn earlier. Any person violating the order shall be liable for punishment under section 188 IPC and as per the provisions of Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli. (NSS)
