Ban Lagadapati From Public Life: Jupally

Former minister and TRS MLA Jupally Krishna Rao today lashed out at Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal for comparing Telagnana protagonists with wild animals and demanded that the government proscribe him from public life. He also demanded that the government prosecute him under Prevention Detention Act for looting public money.

Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan here on Monday, Jupally said that Lagadapati was unfit to talk about democracy as he was speaking like an insane person. He said that Lagadapati has lost mental balance due to anger. Jupally also excoriated the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government for not keeping its word on peaceful Telangana March. He felt that the ministers from the region lowered their dignity themselves by clinging to their posts when the people of the region were heroically fighting for separate State.

Reacting to Telangana United Front president Vimalakka’s remarks that Telangana State cannot be achieved by touching the feet of Delhi leaders, Jupally said the TRS leaders have no need to touch anybody’s feet to achieve separate State. He lauded his party’s supremo KCR for bringing the movement to the present level. He claimed that the Delhi leaders, including AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and AICC general secretary in-charge of State Party Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad, were circumambulating around KCR but not vice versa. He felt that political deliberations were also needed for achievement of separate Telangana State along with the mass movement. (NSS)
