Hyderabad: The demise of senior BJP leader and former MLA Baddam Balreddy was an irreparable loss to the State and the nation, observed Telangana State Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy.
The Speaker visited the house of the departed leader at Banjara Hills today and offered floral tributes to his mortal remains. Legislative Council chairman Kanakamamidi Swamy Goud, former Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy and others also offered floral tributes and conveyed their heart-felt condolences and sympathies to the family members of the departed leader.
Speaking on the occasion, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said Baddam Balreddy was known as people’s leader and was elected thrice as MLA from Karwan constituency in the Old city. Similarly, Council chairman Swamy Goud lauded the services of the late leader and recalled that he had played a pivotal role in the nation building. Balreddy’s untimely death was a colossal loss to the BJP and the people of Hyderabad.
Former Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy recalled that he and departed leader Baddam Balreddy fiercely fought against communalism in the Old City during the Janata party regime at the Centre. He lauded the departed leader as a committed soldier in finding solutions to burning problems of the people of Hyderabad with dedication.
