Balram Naik slams Rajaiah for criticizing Sonia

Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Balaram Naik today condemned the comments of Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah against AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Balram Naik excoriated Rajaiah for making derogatory remarks against the Congress president. “There is no meaning in Deputy CM Rajaiah saying Sonia’s delay in conceding statehood to Telangana led to suicides by youth. This is absolutely wrong”, he said, adding the AICC Chief accorded statehood to Telangana despite knowing that the party would suffer heavily in the general elections. “How can the Deputy Chief Minister blame the AICC chief when Sonia kept the promise of giving statehood”, he asked.
Unmindful of party’s grim prospects and to prevent suicides in Telangana, Sonia accorded statehood to Telangana, Balaram Naik said. He also accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of failing to get revenue for the Telangana State it supposed to get. While Andhra Pradesh State got good revenues, the Telangana State could not get its share of revenue as the CM could failed to handle the issue properly, he alleged. Naik also found fault with the CM for making false promises which cannot be fulfilled now. The TRS came to power only by luring the people with promises and assurances that cannot be fulfilled or completed, he added. (NSS).
