Bajrang Dal, VHP activists attack CPM office in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal activists allegedly attacked the office of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Sector 30 B here on Wednesday.

CPI (M) state secretary Raghunath Singh told ANI, “We were sitting in our houses when we heard VHP and Bajrang Dal activists raising slogans against CPM, CPI and Prakash Karat.”

“They hurled abusive at us, and when we told them that they had no business to do here; and the policemen accompanying them told us to hide in our houses, rather than stopping them from pelting stones at the office,” he alleged.

After he lodged a complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), who sent some policemen here, he said.

“The BJP and its constituents like Bajranj Dal, VHP and the Sangh Parivar are not ready to listen anybody against their ideology. Their politics is anti-national and they want to sell India to foreigners, and if anybody protests against their motive, they are not ready to tolerate that,” he added.

He said what had been happening with the JNU students was Fascism.

On Sunday, attempts were made to vandalise the CPM central committee office near Gole Market in Delhi. Three activists of the Aam Aadmi Sena allegedly sprayed “Pakistani. Ofc” on the board outside the office. (ANI)
