Ramgarh: Bajrang Dal activists in Ramgarh are ready with mandaps, pandits to marry off Valentine’s Day couples without ado.
According to HT, a ‘10 raiding teams’ was formed by Jharkhand district unit of the Bajrang Dal to catch such couples.
A meeting on Friday evening at the district’s Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) office was organized where self policing for moral police Bajrang Dal announced that it will have ready with items such as mandaps, Hawan Kund (auspicious fire) associated with solemnisation of marriage to tie the knot of couples caught in parks and other public places celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 14.
Deepak Mishra, coordinator of the Bajrang Dal in Ramgarh, said that the cost of marriage to be borne by Bajrang Dal.
“The cost of the marriage will be borne by us,” Mishra said.
Irony is that self policing for moral police Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena activists decided to stay away from misbehaving with any boy or girl on Valentine’s Day.
“This is an independent decision of the Ramgarh Bajrang Dal. Though we morally oppose vulgar shows on Valentine Day, this year we would not take to streets to protest holding of the day, said senior functionary Jharkhand VHP Mritunjay Singh.
