New Delhi: Bajaj Auto on Monday reported a 3.76 per cent decline in total sales at 3,84,400 units last month as against 3,99,450 units in September 2014.
Motorcycle sales during the month declined 4.83 per cent to 3,30,228 units as against 3,47,010 units in September last year, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Bajaj Auto’s commercial vehicles sales during the month stood at 54,172 units compared with 52,440 units in the year-ago period – an increase of 3.30 per cent.
Its exports in September this year came in at 1,73,801 units as against 1,74,211 units a year ago, down marginally by 0.23 per cent, the company said.
As of 11:07 a.m., shares in Bajaj Auto were trading nearly 2 per cent higher at Rs 2358.40 apiece on the BSE, outperforming the broader Sensex that was up 1.5 per cent.
