Bail to Vijay Sai Reddy: HC quashes CBI plea

Giving a major relief, the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday quashed the petition of CBI seeking cancellation of bail to Jagathi Publications vice chairman and financial auditor V Vijay Sai Reddy, who was accused number 2 in the disproportionate assets case of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

While quashing the CBI petition, the court concurred with Vijay Sai Reddy counsel observation that his client was a professional auditor and not a criminal to cancel his bail petition.

Earlier, the CBI argued that Vijay Sai Reddy would tamper with evidence and influence the witnesses if granted him bail. However, it has failed to submit its argument with substantial proof.

It may be mentioned that the CBI Special court granted conditional bail to Vijay Sai Reddy on April 13. Opposing the bail the CBI filed a petition in the High court seeking cancellation of bail plea.
