Department of Urdu of University of Hyderabad will organize a three day function to honor Prof. Baig Ehsaas, former Head of the Dept. of Urdu. These celebrations will be held from 28th to 30th November.
The inaugural function will be held at 4 p.m. on 28th November at the auditorium of School of Humanities of Hyderabad Central Universities. Prof. Ramakrishna Ramaswami, Vice Chancellor of University of Hyderabad will inaugurate the celebrations. Dr. Khwaja Mohammed Shahid, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University will the guest of honor. Padmashree Prof. Mujtaba Husain will preside over the function. Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director of A.P. Urdu Academy will be the special guest. Prof. Muzaffar Shahmeeri, Head of the Dept. of Urdu will present welcome address.
At 11 a.m. on 29th November a seminar on “Baig Ehsaas Art and Personality” will be held on the University campus in which scholars, writers, poets and research scholar of various Universities will present their research papers on Prof. Baig Ehsaas. The Valedictory function of the seminar will be held at 5 p.m. on 30th November at Nehru Auditorium of Madina Education Center, Nampally in dignitaries of the city will present their impressions.
Baig Ehsaas celebrations committee has requested all the students, research scholars, teachers and Urdu Lovers to participate in these celebrations.
