Baggage for the Haj pilgrims standardized

Hyderabad, September 13: For the convenience of handling, the Haj Committee of India has standardized the baggage for the Haj pilgrims this year and requested them to follow suit.

As per the instructions of the HCI the pilgrims are allowed to carry two suit cases one of which with a standard size of dimensions of 62” length carrying a maximum weight of 25 kgs and another of 57” length with a carrying maximum weight of 20 kgs, both checked in baggage. Apart from this, the pilgrims can carry a hand bag of 22”X 16X 6” carrying maximum weight of 10 kgs, while in the return journey they will be allowed to one safely wrapped 10 litres Zam Zam flat jerry can.

AP State Haj Committee Chairman Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed appealed the pilgrims to comply with the stipulated size of the baggage and cooperate with the Haj Committee and Saudi Airlines for the smooth Haj operations.
