New Delhi, November 05:S Badrinath’s patient 111 guided Tamil Nadu 312 for eight as the visitors stayed in hunt for an all-important first innings lead against Railways in their Ranji Trophy Super League Group A match here today.
In reply to Railways’ first innings total of 327, Tamil Nadu ended day three with C Ganapathy (17) and R Jesuraj (0) in the crease with the side needing another 16 runs for a first innings lead.
Badrinath, who resumed at his personal 33 this morning, cracked seven boundaries and two sixers as the 29-year-old, along with Murali Vijay (65), added 67 runs for third wicket.
Tamil Nadu, resuming at 150 for two, suffered their first loss of the day when Vijay, who struck seven boundaries in his innings, fell to spinner Murali Kartik (3/89) in the 49th over.
