Tollywood hero and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna on Saturday said the Araku valley would be developed to attract foreign tourists.
Balakrishna, who is in Araku in Visakhapatnam district in connection with a cinema shoot, garlanded the statue of his father and former chief minister late NTR at a local park. Stating that Araku valley suffered heavy damage during the recent Hudhud cyclone, he said it would take years to develop the valley. The valley would be developed to attract even tourists. Balakrishna said the TDP government would extend adequate assistance to tribals, who lost their coffee crops in the cyclone. Reminding that the valley was developed during NTR regime for shooting of small films, he said now efforts would be made to provide infrastructure for shooting of big films in the valley.
