Badal backs Naidu; says corruption & Congress two sides of coin

Hyderabad, December 30: The Punjab Chief Minister, Mr Prakash Singh Badal, has said that the Congress-led UPA government reeked of corruption.

Mr Badal flew into Hyderabad to visit the TDP chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, and extend his support to the pro-farmer movement he had taken up. He has congratulated him for going on hunger strike in support of the farmers. He is believed to have discussed with him about building a nation-wide movement in support of the farmers.

Talking to the media after meeting Mr Naidu, Mr Badal said that the farmer was the worst sufferer in the country. He said the Congress party was not at all worried about the fate of the farmers. The party was more interested in millionaires and billionaires, he added.

Mr Badal said that he had come here especially to extend his support to Mr Naidu in his fight for the farmers. He also said that he was unable to attend the “Raithukosam” meeting being organized by the TDP and other Opposition parties in Guntur on Thursday.
