Backwardness of Muslim Community is due to Muslim leaders and Govt. employees – Amer Ali Khan

Hyderabad: Muslim leaders and high officials belonging to Muslim community failed to submit concrete proposal for the welfare of Muslims due to which the backwardness of the Muslims did not end. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while addressing a gathering at Sadhashivpet organized in connection with 12% reservations for Muslims. On this occasion, a one day hunger strike was also observed.

Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that our own people have damaged the cause of Muslims more than anyone else. People’s representatives in Ministry and the portals of the Govt. did not submit concrete proposal for the eradication of poverty of the Muslims. In the same manner, they did not contact the CM or the Chief Secretary for resolving the issues concerning the Muslims community. They did not show interest and courage to resolve these issues. The result is that the Muslims are affected these days. He pointed out that if the services of SC, ST and BC leaders are reviewed, it comes to notice that they gathered at one common platform and submitted proposals to the Govt. for the welfare of their communities. The higher officials of these communities also took interest in resolving these issued.

Continuing his speech, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told that TRS in its election manifesto had promised that within 4 months of its assuming power, it would give 12% reservations to Muslims but even after the lapse of 19 months, it could not fulfill its promise. In order to remind TRS its promise, Siasat Urdu Daily launched a campaign for getting 12% reservation for Muslims. He further told that during the past three months he has toured more than 15000 K.m. This struggle would continue till BCs Commission is formed. He pointed out that Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had exhibited courage and provided 4% reservations to Muslims. If 12% reservations area given, the lives of many Muslims would find a revolutionary change in their rights.

He mentioned that Muslims need industries and higher educational institutions more than Rs. 51000 grants for weddings.

Mr. Syed Abdur Rafey Altamas, President of District Educational Development Society of Medak conducted the meeting. Mr. Abdul Khader Faisal, Staff Reporter of Siasat congratulated the Muslims of Sadashivpet for organizing one day hunger strike.
