Mumbai, February 05: Rumour has it that Manisha Koirala is looking to soon turn into a full-time producer and that her long time steady boyfriend Christopher Dorris is also in her scheme of things.
It is being tipped that Dorris, who is a sports counselor, author and entrepreneur, will be actively looking at the finances and the legal proceedings of this new initiative. He will also be a part of the initial process of selecting scripts for movies.
A source close to the actor reveals, “Manisha has been toying with the idea of getting into production for a very long time. In 2004, she had funded a movie titled Paisa Vasool but after that movie, she went underground as aproducer. But now it seems she is fuelling some fire into her production business. She is looking to roll out her ambitious business plans this year.”
The insider adds, “Manisha will only look to fund quality movies which will stand out because of its story and script. She is not interested in doing mindless films which bomb regularly at the box office. She has done some really wonderful films in hercareer and has interacted withdirectors like Mani Ratnam and Sanjay Leela Bhansali and others and their influence has definitely rubbed off her.
She wants her business to be known for the quality it rolls out and not for the quantity.” Manisha has opted out of movies for quite sometime now and has even spoken about going back to Nepal to join politics. After her movie career hit a road-block, she has been looking for an alternative for quite some time.
