Baby born on Jet Airways flight named ‘Jetson’, mother thanks the crew for safe delivery

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: The first child who was born on board an Indian airline, Jet Airways was named ‘Jetson’ by his mother. On Sunday, 29-year-old Mrs. C. Jose and her baby flew back to Kochi in Kerala after they were discharged from the hospital.

She expressed her gratitude to the crew members of the flight for safe delivery. She decided to name her son ‘Jetson’ as special care and prompt action was taken by the crew members on board for the safe delivery of her child.

It may be mentioned that on 18th June, a Jet Airways flight from Dammam in Saudi Arabia to Kochi with 162 guests was diverted to Mumbai after a woman went into premature labour. She gave birth to a baby boy on board with the assistance of the airline’s trained paramedics.

After the birth, the management of Jet Airways expressed their delight and offered the newly-born, a free lifetime air ticket for all his journeys on their airlines.

As per rules of the airlines, any woman who is pregnant for more than 30 weeks needs a medical fitness certificate for flying and a woman who is pregnant for more 35 weeks is not eligible to fly.
