Babu targets Gali in Anantapur

TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has targeted the Karnataka former minister Gali Janardana Reddy at his election campaigning in Rayadurgam as his follower is YSR Congress candidate Kapu Ramachandra Reddy in the Rayadurgam constituency.

Addressing election meetings, he said that Gali, who has given bribe to a judge for his bail, was capable of bribing any one, including Gods. He had given Lord Venkateswara Rs 45 crore worth jewel crown and Sri Kalahastiswara Rs 45 crore. He said that even Kapu Ramachandra Reddy would join Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Gali Janardana Reddy in the jail. He told the people that voting to YSR Congress Party was like voting for corruption. He reiterated his oft-repeated quotation that while the Congress was a party of robbers, the YSR Congress was a party of plunderers. He said that the YSRC was indulging in opportunistic politics.

Speaking to the media earlier, Naidu said that people must observe the opportunistic politics of Congress party and reminded them that AICC leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has openly said that Jagan would have been made chief minister if he remained in Congress. Stating that it was atrocious to make such a statement, he questioned Azad whether the Congress would make even corrupt persons as chief ministers. He said there was need for total cleansing of politics in the country.

Referring to some leaders leaving the TDP, Naidu said that if any one left his party because of any attractive package, he would lose a place in the history. He said that no one would leave a party that has the State’s interest uppermost on its mind. He called upon all political parties to cut across their differences and support the anti-corruption movement of social activist Anna Hazare and Yoga guru Ramdev Baba. (NSS)
