Hyderabad, September 27: Reiterating that the separate statehood agitation originated from hearts of Telangana people, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday criticized Telugu Desam leader N Chandrababu Naidu for ‘stage-managing’ United Andhra Pradesh agitation from his house.
Talking to media persons at the Telangana Bhavan, the TRS leader alleged that it was Mr Naidu behind the “artificial and stage managed United Andhra agitation.”
KRC alleged that this was an attempt to instigate people by spending money.
The TRS president stated that the Telangana people gave a fitting reply to Telugu Desam Party in the Assembly elections by defeating the party at the hustings as they were able to see through the conspiracy.
KCR also told Mr Naidu to stop leveling baseless allegations against TRS cadre.
Reacting on the reported statement made by Mr Naidu that many leaders are deserting the TRS, KCR said that ‘desertion’ syndrome had originated from the TDP and then spread to other parties.
The TRS chief also prophesized that the TDP would bite the dust in Seemandhra region after the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Attempting to allay fears of the possible strengthening of Maoists after the formation of Telangana, the TRS chief said that the problem had arisen in the first place because of the stepmotherly treatment by Andhra leaders of the Telangana people. He said that this problem would be solved once a separate state is formed.
Meanwhile, senior TRS leader T Harish Rao challenged Mr Naidu to a one-on-one debate instead of making wild allegations against KCR through the media.
He said that Telangana people had rejected the TDP as it not made its stand clear on Telangana statehood issue.
Criticising Mr Naidu for his ` dynastic politics’, Harish Rao condemned the TDP chief for not paying tributes for Telangana martyrs in the Mahanadu, the party annual conclave.
He said that Telangana leader Devender Goud has no moral right to criticize KCR as he failed to protect Telangana people sentiments by merging his Nava Telangana party in the PRP within one year of its formation.
