Hyderabad, March 14: Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) demanded that the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu should announce his stand on Telangana State at least now and alleged that the TDP has in fact become a hurdle in the formation of separate State.
Justifying its action of expelling the TDP from the JAC, the JAC leadership said that Chandrababu Naidu had failed to tender an apology to the advocates when they were attacked by the TDP cadre on March 6 at Indira Park in the City.
It categorically said that the TDP has no right to continue in the JAC as its leaders and the cadre were not taking part in the ongoing agitations across the region.
Addressing a press conference here today, JAC convener M Kodandaram said that if the TDP chief is sincere on the issue, he should make his stand clear without giving any scope for speculations.
“Unless Naidu makes his stand clear, his party cannot participate in the Telangana movement,’’ Kodandaram said. The JAC leader further said that they were committed to continue the movement even without the participation of political parties. They would prepare an action plan in the coming days after due consultations with all the Telangana organisations. The JAC convener took strong objection to the State Government’s refusal to give permission to the public meeting to be organised by the CPI(ML) New Democracy in the State capital today.
