There was a time when Babu Rao used to wash tea cups, today he is the owner of a big hotel. The best part is he didn’t forget his past even after achieving success. He feels that poor and helpless people also have a share in his wealth. This is the reason why he has been feeding 300 people daily for the past 6 years and has been providing 200 ml milk to each of the 200 patients.
58-year-old, A Babu Rao, S/O Narayana Rao was born in Lakham village of Adilabad. When he asked for money to meet school expenses, his father sold their only cow and gave the money to him to continue studies. When Babu Rao learnt about this he felt very bad that his father sold the cow which was their ‘Mata’ for his sake. Since then he yearned to earn. He came to Hyderabad without his father’s knowledge at the age of 22. First he worked in a shop as salesman. Then he started working in Roxy Café to get 2 Rs 25 paisa as daily wages and food for three times.
Time passed by; a Nawab Saheb named Dawood Shareef Saheb used to come to the café. Once he told Babu Rao that he was purchasing a hotel and he asked Babu Rao whether he would like to manage the same. Babu Rao accepted the offer. He worked very hard to establish the hotel. Then when Dawood Shareef Saheb sold the hotel he bought it from him with the help of a friend.
Today Babu Rao is rich. When he see that the patients and attendants of Mehdi Nawaz Jung Cancer Hospital and Niloufer Hospital starve due to poverty, his heart weeps on seeing this so started distributing, bread, milk, rice, curd and vegetable to the patients and poor attendants.
