TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu today said to protect the interest of the state, they e organised protests in Maharashtra against Babli project and they were beaten up with lathis by police.
He was addressing an election meeting at Jagtyal in Karimnagar district. The TDP government has spent Rs 1400 crore for modernization of SRSP project.
During the regime of party, Hyderabad city was developed as a IT hub, schools and colleges were constructed in Telangana, he said and gave assurance that Jagityal would be made as a district if the party comes to power.
He alleged that KCR did nothing for the farmers of Telangana, and appreciated the role of party candidate L Ramana for the welfare of poor and down-trodden sections.(NSS)
