Babu asks Balayya to play active role in politics

Hyderabad, June 11: Film actor N Balakrishna received an unexpected gift on his 50th birthday today from none other than his brotherinlaw and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.

“Balakrishna had to play a very active role in politics too, “Naidu said, which was music to the ears of hundreds of fans of Balakrishna, who attended the muhurt shot of the film `Parama Veera Chakra’ being directed by Dasari Narayanarao at a function held at Kotla Vijayabhaskhara Reddy stadium. here.Naidu said that Balakrishna had been working for the party for quite some time. “I wish that Balakrishna should succeed in politics too,” he clarified. TDP chief further stated that if Balakrishna so desired to enter into active politics, he was most welcome.

It may be recalled that Balakrishna expressed his desire to play an active role in politics when he visited Narasimha temples across the state after the success of his latest film `Simha’.

The grapevine has it that in the event of state’s bifurcation, the TDP chief ministerial candidate for Andhra state would be Balakrishna.

This was to counter the film glamour of Chiranjeevi in Andhra region. To a query whether Balakrishna would be inducted in TDP’s Politburo, Naidu evaded a direct reply. It may be recalled that TDP founder NT Ramarao’s son Harikrishna was inducted into the TDP politburo and he was sent to RS.
