Anjuman Ahqaq-o-Abtal Baatil Deoband held an emergency meeting in which president Anjuman Mufti Mohammed Azam Qasmi said those who are striking a deal of Babri Masjid are deceiving the community. They are toying with Allah’s house and taking mileage out of it.
He asked Maulana Salman Nadwi is there anywhere mentioned in the book of fiqh that masjid can be shifted from its place and a temple to worship idols can be constructed there? He asked on what authority is he doing all this, Maulana Salman. What will he answer to his maternal grandfather Maulana Abul Hasan Ali Miya Nadwi in the hereafter?
There was no mention of masjid’s shifting in Maulana Ali Miya’s stand, still, the community didn’t accept it. He told that Maulana Ali Miyan, Maulana Abdul Kareem Parekh, Younus Saleem former governor of Bihar had come to a solution on Babri Masjid issue after meeting with non-Muslim countrymen. Maulana Ali Miya’s name was suggested for Muslims’ representation wile Shankar Acharya’s name was suggested for Hindus’ representation. Governor of Andhra Pradesh Krishna Kant, Sushil Mani of Jain religious and Guru Shankar Acharya Anand Sarasvati had approved the solution and the solution was that Babri Masjid would remain on the same place, while the idols would be removed and the premises would be open for prayer. There would be a 3-feet pond around the masjid after that would be a railing if needed electric current would be passed through the railing. After that Ram Mandir would be constructed on the remaining Waqf land of Babri Masjid. Muslims will not object to it.
This Mufti Azam Qasmi had said it is not the issue of Babri Masjid alone but the question of the prestige of 25 Cr Muslims of India and 100 Cr justice-loving Indian’s faith on democracy. Hence we would support All India Muslim Personal Law Board and Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind stand of fighting the case in Supreme Court.
