The key witness in Babri Masjid Demolition Case, Praveen Jain documented the rehearsal of demolition which took place a day before 6th December 1992, the day that changed Indian Politics forever.
In an interview to The Quint, Praveen Jain told that according to the judge, he is the key witness who saw the rehearsal. He also said that the demolition was a conspiracy.
Describing how the rehearsal took place, he said that ‘Kar Sevaks’ practiced on a large rock. The same technique was adopted during the demolition of Babri Masjid, he added.
It may be mentioned that for the past 25 years, CBI Court in Lucknow has been hearing the case.
In the video, it can be seen how ‘Kar Sevaks’ practiced before the actual demolition of the Masjid.
Talking about how he shot the rehearsal of ‘Kar Sevaks’, Praveen Jain disclosed that on the night of 4th December, he received a call from an MP who was associated with VHP gave a hint to him that on 5th December rehearsal would take place. The MP also instructed him to disguise as VHP ‘Kar Sevak’ to shoot the entire rehearsal.
On 5th December, Mr. Praveen reached the spot where he saw the rehearsal was going on.
On 6th December, there were two stages, one arranged for VIPs including Advani, Joshi, Uma Bharati and others and the other meant for pressmen, Mr. Praveen said. People tried to stop the media persons from shooting the scene and they also tried to break their cameras, he added.
“25 years have passed and still no decision has taken place. During this period many witnesses have died”, the key witness said.
It may be noted that in May 2017, charges were framed against BJP leaders including LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharati. However, they were granted bail.
