Mumbai: Baba Ramdev taught Kapalbhati Pranayam to the corporate India in the conference hall of State Bank of India BSE 2.15 %’s panel discussion on leadership. The exercise is a breathing yoga which reduces their belly fat and stress and control cholesterol, he suggested to everyone.
Ramdev said that despite founding a huge FMCG he does not lose sleep, put on weight because of his daily yoga routine. “Despite founding Patanjali I have never lost sleep over stress, thanks to yoga. You all put on weight with work. Everyone must do yoga at least one hour in the morning,” he said.
Ramdev, Niti Aayog Amitabh Kant CEO, legal consultant Zia Mody and Itzcash managing director Naveen Surya came together for a panel discussion moderated by Arundhati Bhattacharya, chairman of State Bank of India, reported ET.
Ramdev while speaking in regards to the business said: “Indians need to start respecting businessmen and entrepreneurs in India. “Abusing businessmen should be banned in the Indian parliament. You want their taxes, you want their money to fund your political parties. Stop cursing them. Every businessman is not a thief.”
The panel had discussed the role of women entrepreneurs in improving country’s GDP. Kant cited a report by McKinsey Global Institute which stated that at 17 percent, India has a lower share of women’s contribution to GDP than the global average of 37 percent, and the lowest among all regions in the world.
“Growth in India cannot happen without women contribution. Gender parity and social development are needed. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh need focus on health and education of women,” said Kant.
He added that the government is focussed on restructuring on institutions like Medical Council of India, the University Grants Commission and the All India Council for Technical Education to weed out corruption and better the quality of their governance.
