Baba Ramdev says PM Modi is India’s brand ambassador, not Patanjali’s

New Delhi: After one day of the inauguration of a Patanjali’s research institute by PM Modi. The yoga guru, Baba Ramdev on Thursday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is India’s brand ambassador, not his brand, Patanjali’s.

The inauguration was held at Uttarakhand’s Haridwar in presence of PM Modi where Baba Ramdev refused to comment on whether PM’s presence will benefit him, reported DC.

“Prime Minister Modi does not endorse Patanjali brand anywhere. PM belongs to 125 crore Indians, does he not belong to Patanjali? He is not Patanjali’s brand ambassador, he is India’s brand ambassador,” Patanjali Ayurved’s promoter Ramdev said.

When asked if Patanjali benefits from PM’s presence, Ramdev said people are free to say anything they want to and “I don’t want to comment on it.”

Patanjali is heading to generate its sales at over Rs 20,000 crores this fiscal year, with a double distribution of 12,000 networks throughout the country.
