Ahmedabad, April 17: In a first-of-its-kind tie-up, Shanti Business School (SBS) has joined hands with National Stock Exchange (NSE). This collaboration will help students learn the nuances of market trading and will give them a deeper understanding of the stock market.
This alliance was made keeping in mind SBS’ new course in financial management – NSE Certified Capital Market Professional (NCCMP). This is reportedly the first time that an All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) approved B-school will be partnered by NSE.
Talking about the course, SBS coordinator for the programme, professor VK Sapovadia said, “It is necessary for students to have practical knowledge of broking houses and share markets, especially with the amount of macro-economic development taking place around us. This hands-on practical knowledge and experience about the stock market will make our students corporate-ready.”
The first batch of 16 students will comprise of outsiders and students from SBS’ PGDM course. They will receive practical knowledge of the overall economic environment within which stock market players operate. Students will have faculty members from SBS, NSE, chartered accountants and other members of leading institutes teaching them.
