Hyderabad, October 15: CPI MP Mr. Aziz Pasha inspected unauthorized digging for construction behind Mukarram Jah Hostel which poses threat to the foundations of adjoining buildings including a mosque.
Mumtaz Mansion which is a heritage building located at Lakdi ka pul faces peril due to the ongoing digging activities for construction at its rear.
It should be remembered that the building is under the supervision of Zaheer Manzil Trust.
Mr. Khusro Nawab’s property is said to have been located in the western area of the building which has been given to a developer for construction of a complex. Digging work in carried on for the construction of a multi storied building from the last few days which poses threat to the building of Mumtaz Mansion. A mosque is also located adjacent to it which is in great peril because of digging activities.
Despite the representation being made to the concerned authorities no measures have been taken to stop the construction activities so far, consequently a heritage building is in peril.
