Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin on Tuesday predicted that his party would come to power in Telangana state after the assembly elections. He made these remarks while addressing public meetings in Narkatpally assembly constituency of the state.
He came down heavily on Prime Minister Modi and alleged that he had destroyed the entire country. He also said that the people of the country would vote for Congress party in the Lok Sabha elections slated to be held next year. Noting that the domestic gas prices were just Rs.350 per cylinder. during the UPA rule, he said that the gas price had now gone up to Rs.1000 per cylinder. He mocked that the credit to increase the gas prices went to BJP in the country. He questioned the ruling dispensation at the center as to how the common man and poor people of the country could afford such expensive gas prices.
