Hyderabad: The film “Azhar” which depicts the biopic of former Indian Cricket Captain, Mohammed Azharuddin was filmed to project his clean image before the public. Emraan Hashmi who played the role of Azharuddin addressed a press conference in Hyderabad yesterday in connection with the promotion of film “Azhar” produced by Sony Pictures Network and Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The film is being released today.
Mr. Emraan Hashmi told that the incident of the match fixing scandal of Mohammed Azharuddin has been projected. He further told that when we watch the cricket match, we know the events taking place on the playground but we do not know what is happening in the hotel rooms of the cricketers. He mentioned that it was a challenge for him to play the role of Azharuddin. He informed that he shared many personal details from Azharuddin. He mentioned that by seeing this film one could know how the career and the future of the best player could be at stake.
Ms. Prachi Desai who played the role of Ms. Noreen, the former wife of Azharuddin told that she had to work hard for playing this role. Mr. Azharuddin also gave the details of his experiences in the press conference. Ms. Nargis Fakhri has played the role of Ms. Sangeeta Bijlani, the second wife of Azharuddin. The script of the film has been written by Rajat Arora and Amal Malik and Pretam have composed music.
