Azam Khan, UP Urban Development Minister has said against the BJP’s allegations that Muslims are exporting meat and said it is BJP’s communal tactic to shift the blame on Muslims.
Muslims are earning just a peanut and it is the non-Muslims who are actually by and large engaged and benefiting in the activity.
Azam khan while inaugurating a ‘Goshala’ (cow shelter) in Goverdhan area of Mathura said that it was BJP’s communal ploy to point the finger at Muslims and if the parliament issues an order ruling out the export of meat from India, the practice would bring to a standstill.
“However, there are vested interests of the BJP involved in the continuation of the export and this is why, there has been a lot of hue and cry over meat export,” he said.
As per reports in India Today, Khan donated Rs.30 lakhs to the ‘goshala’.
Known for his anti-Hindu statements, Khan, this time had a appeasing tone and wished peace and brotherhood at Goverdhan.
Self-proclaimed Shankaracharya of Goverdhan Math, Swami Adhyokshajanand Devtirth Maharaj, who had opposed PM Modi’s candidature from Varanasi alleging that he was guilty of the carnage of thousands of Muslims in 2002 Godhra (Gujarat) riots headed the inauguration.
