AZADI 70 – FREEDOM FORTNIGHT PROGRAMM AT MANUU

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University is organizing 15 days celebrations “Yad Karo Kurbani (Freedom Fortnight)” in connection with 70th Independence Day. The celebrations will continue until August 23. The activity, being organised in accordance to directions received from University Grants Commission, aims to create awareness among the students about the sacrifices rendered during Freedom Struggle. According to Dr. Mohammed Fariyad, Coordinator, NSS, Competition of painting greeting cards for Army Jawans at border will be conducted on August 12.

“Freedom Run” from University Health Centre to Main Gate will be organized on  August 15, 8.00 a.m. Slogan Writing competition in Urdu, English and Hindi languages will be held on  August 17, whereas essay writing competition on August 18. Patriotic songs competitions will be held on  August 19. The lecture by an eminent personality will be organized on  August 22 and there will be a mass recitation of National Anthem by students on August 23. These competitions will be organized in various auditoriums of the University. Except “Freedom Run” all programmes will be held at3.00 p.m. (NSS)
