Ms. Sonia Gandhi made Mr. P.V. Narasimha Rao, Prime Minister of India. During his tenure of office India made a lot of progress. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad while addressing second Narasimha Rao memorial lecture organized by HMTV in Hyderabad. Praising the reforms and external affairs policy, Mr. Azad told that Mr. Narasimha Rao played an important role in implementing these policies. He further said that Mr. Narasimha Rao had a lot of tolerance. He used to tolerate the criticisms on him.
Mr. Azad told that it was Narasimha Rao who suggested the formation of National Minorities Finance Corporation. Mr. Narasimha Rao had a key role in Economic reforms. The country was successful in coming out of economic crises during the 1990’s due to his policies. Due to economic reforms foreign investments increased and House Hold Industry developed. The process of development of House Hold industry also got increased.
Ghulam Nabi Azad eulogized Mr. Narasimha Rao and said that he made positive changes in the foreign policy and presented India as a nuclear force.
Editor of HMTV, Mr. Ramachandra Murthy presided over the memorial lecture. Mr. Azad told that in maintaining internal security also, Mr. Narasimha Rao played an important role. He kept the country ready for facing the threats of the terrorists. Praising the personality of Mr. Rao, Mr. Azad told that he was the only politicians who was well versed with many languages and he made use of them appropriately.
He claimed that he is the eye witness that due to his policies the position of terrorists on Dargah Hazrath Bal was ended without damaging the shrine. He told that even today the country is following the policies of Mr. Rao.
